At winter camp, the majority of your time is focused and dedicated to God. Just being surrounded by other people who are so passionate about worship in every form keeps your mind from wandering into the concerns of this world. My weekend on that mountain top was filled with an abundance of prayer and praise, to the extent that I’m still praying and praising to that degree if not more. The joy of the lord has truly entered and filled my spirit. Church retreats not only bring you closer to God, but also to fellow family members in the body of Christ. And with this mutual recognition, you learn of the pain, sufferings, joy, and praises of our brothers and sisters; which is necessary for Christian growth. Winter camp was nothing short of a divined blessing.
